Your membership contract will start from the date of your child's first lesson. Payment is taken monthly, on the first of each month, and automatically renews unless cancelled in writing at least 30 days in advance of the next billing date. All payments are taken by Direct Debit.
If a payment fails to go through, you will be notified so that it can be taken by other means. If this payment is not received before the next monthly Direct Debit payment, your contract will be cancelled. Holbrook Tuition Centre reserves the right to refer owed payments to a debt collection agency.
Extra sessions can be booked in addition to those provided as part of the monthly contract. These extra sessions can be paid for by cash, cheque or bank transfer.
All clients on a contract (other than the 'Flexible Contract') are assigned a weekly slot at a giventhe members' area on the Holbrook Tuition Centre website ( time and day. This slot will not be given to anyone else until the contract is terminated. However, if you book your child out of a session, his/her space can be used by another client for that week only.
Assigned slots are provided term time only, following the East Sussex County Council term dates for schools in East Sussex.
Once you sign up as a monthly member, you are given a unique username and password. This can be used to access the members' area on Holbrook Tuition Centre's website and book in/out of sessions.
Sessions are offered during school holidays. These run at different times to the term time sessions. Your child will not automatically be booked into these holiday sessions. Instead, you will be notified in the run up to each holiday of how many sessions you are owed (if any). You then have the option of booking your child into one or more holiday session or saving any owed sessions to use at a later time. All bookings and cancellations can be done over the phone, by email or online. Details of which can be found in the 'Refunds and Cancellations Policy' below.
Tutoring is a weekly commitment (unless you are a 'Flexible Member'). Therefore, the contract will be terminated if your child's attendance falls below 75%. This is also to protect you from paying for more sessions than you are likely to use.
Sessions run at the normal times on Bank Holidays if they fall during term time.
Holbrook Tuition Centre is a quiet and purposeful learning environment. Studenst are, therefore, asked to behave in a way that engenders a positive learning environment for all. Holbrook Tuition Centre reserves the right to terminate your contract if your child behaves in a way that is unsafe or disruptive.
Holbrook Tuition Centre does not offer refunds. However, as long as 24 hours' notice is provided when cancelling a session, you will not be charged. Instead, that session will be 'banked' to use at a time convenient to you. Banked sessions never expire and can be used as payment when booking into additional term time or school holiday sessions.
Bookings and cancellations can be done by email at:email@example.com or by telephone on: 01825 890 187. Alternatively, you can log into the members' area on this website. This enables you to book in and out of sessions online and manage your child's schedule.
A breakdown of all banked sessions can be obtained at any time by contacting Holbrook Tuition Centre.
Upon termination of your contract, your child is welcome to attend the Centre until all banked sessions have been used up.
If you wish to terminate your contract, please provide written notice at least 30 days before you wish the contract to end. Any monthly payments that fall within this notice period will be processed.
We collect personal information on the website only if you submit a Contact Form. This information is treated as confidential and is only used to fulfil your specific requirements. Contracts and Client Information Forms also contain personal information, such as contact numbers and addresses. All of this personal information is stored securely. Only the owner of Holbrook Tuition has access to clients' personal information, and this information is never shared with a third party. You may be contacted from time to time by the company owner to discuss your specific needs, such as scheduling sessions and membership information.
